Until 2020, the Traditional or Waterfall technique was the primary focus of PMP Certification. The Agile and Hybrid Approach were heavily weighted in the PMP syllabus from January 2, 2021. Expectations from Participants are as follows:

1.Participants are expected to complete all required classwork, homework, and class assignments.

2.Participants should ideally be Project Management Institute (PMI)® members.

3.PMI membership can be gained by visiting www.pmi.org; however, this is an optional option that can be completed at a later date.

4.Participants can download the Project Management Institute, Inc.® Guide for free as part of their membership

PMP Certification Exam Eligibility Criteria

The PMP® Certification exam has its own set of prerequisites, and you must meet the following educational and practical requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or global equivalent is required for PMP certification.

2. Professional project management experience of three years (36 months) with no overlap

3. 4,500 hours of project management and direction

A formal project management education of 35 hours is required.

or

1. High school graduation, associate's degree, or global equivalent is required for PMP certification.

2. Professional project management experience of five years (60 months) with no overlap

3. 7,500 hours of project management and direction

4. A formal project management education of 35 hours is required.
